Job Description
We’re looking for a motivated Commercial Tyre Sales Consultant to join Thomas Tyres Group of Companies. In this role you’ll use your commercial tyre knowledge and proven sales ability to develop and manage accounts, source new customers, and deliver tailored tyre solutions for fleets, transport operators and heavy equipment users. You’ll provide accurate recommendations, prepare competitive quotes, negotiate terms, and follow through to ensure timely delivery and fitment with our service teams. You should be confident on site visits, able to assess tyre condition and tyre-life options, and translate technical information into clear value for customers. Strong relationship-building and customer service skills are essential — you’ll be responsible for growing repeat business, meeting sales targets, and keeping accurate sales records and pipeline forecasts. You’ll also collaborate with warehouse and operations to manage stock and availability. To succeed you’ll have proven sales experience in commercial tyres or a related automotive/transport sector, excellent verbal and written communication, and the drive to meet and exceed targets. As a Commercial Tyre Sales Consultant at Thomas Tyres Group of Companies you will: - Sell new and retread commercial tyres and value-added tyre services to fleet and commercial customers - Conduct on-site fleet surveys to assess tyre condition, usage patterns and cost-saving opportunities - Manage tyre trials and monitor test tyres to evaluate performance and recommend solutions - Actively prospect for and win new business, expanding the customer base through targeted outreach and networking - Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, acting as their primary point of contact for tyre needs - Prepare accurate quotes, proposals and pricing, and negotiate commercial terms to close sales - Coordinate with operations, service centres and logistics to ensure timely delivery, fitting and invoicing - Maintain up-to-date sales administration and CRM records, including activity logs, service histories and follow-ups - Provide technical advice on tyre selection, maintenance best practices and safety/compliance requirements - Track sales performance against targets, produce regular reports, and follow up on outstanding opportunities - Support after-sales service, handling warranty claims, complaints and ensuring high customer satisfaction You will represent Thomas Tyres professionally, deliver expert guidance, and drive measurable improvements in customers’ tyre costs and fleet uptime.
